Coach Rooney's rope climbs....you will get what you put in in CrossFit, make sure you are putting in the extra skill work to get those goats worked out.....

-The Paleo Challenge is over. Please turn in your log books. Hopefully you all learned the benefits of a solid nutrition program. Nutrition is the foundation of fitness, without it goals will not fall into place. I encourage everyone to stay on course and keep up with your nutrition, after a month it should be routine, the hard part is over but the journey is just beginning. This is also the start of the Games season, lets get dialed and kill it this year. Paleo Challenges are great but the true test is when there is nothing riding on it but your goals, and truth is this should motivate you to stay strict more than anything else.

-The 2012 CrossFit Open workout will be released at 5pm. This means the final call for all those who have not signed up...DO IT! Every skill/experience level needs to get in on this, it is a great time for all. You'll be doing the workout anyways so why not make it official and join the team. Some of you who signed up still need to make sure you join the CFH team and not just the affiliate, they are two different things, please double check. CLICK HERE TO SIGN UP.

Rich with a good finish....awesome work yesterday on the 3RM Deadlift re-tests, lots of PR's in a short amount of time, you guys should be pumped....keep it up!

-We are always evolving as Coaches and athletes alike in CFH. In an effort to stay on the right path of longevity and proper programming we are going to be switching things up a bit. The only thing right now that is changing will be the programming for Sundays. Sundays will be a skill day and a day to make up a workout from the week that you have missed. A smart athlete is a good athlete so I will give you some insight into the first change.... We will be running our strength, conditioning, and CrossFit as always just in a more progressive format of 6 days (Mon-Sat). This will allow for proper progression at all skill levels. In order to keep everyone on the same path I want Sundays to make up a workout from the week. The coach will help you decide which one to keep you in the proper direction. So far nothing drastic, just a constant effort to keep you all healthy and progressing properly.

"Change"

In life change is a constant, you not the same person this instant that you were an instant ago. You can resist change or embrace it and manage it. I am continually amazed at how people resist change. Coaches are change engineers, our mission is to change behavior and help guide, prod, cajole, and lead the athlete toward their goals. I have found that changing physically by changing workouts, putting in a new training system, and adding new exercises is the easy part, the hard part is changing mindsets and in a team environment changing culture. read the entire article here.....
